No. You will be renting one of our Jeeps and following our guides as they narrate the trip via two-way radio. Insurance is included.
All drivers must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license to be qualified to drive one of our Jeeps independently. Drivers 19 to 20 years of age are also permitted to drive a Jeep, but they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
The minimum age of children allowed to ride in our Jeeps is 2 years old. All children must be accompanied by proper parental supervision.
Our 2-door Jeeps can accommodate up to three guests. Our 4-door Jeeps can accommodate up to five passengers.
You and your party will be the only passengers in the vehicle. The exception will only be if another vehicle in the tour breaks down and we have to transport passengers back.
Yes, you can have up to two drivers per Jeep.
We recommend that everyone dresses and prepares as if they were going on a hike (this means closed-toed shoes). Because we like to ride with our hardtops off we recommend wearing comfortable clothes and sunscreen. And don't forget to bring your camera to capture the experience!
Our tours operate rain or shine. Any cancellations will be determined by our guide after a thorough evaluation of any severe weather conditions. Big Bear is located in the San Bernardino Mountains which has several microclimates. If it does rain on our tour it is usually short-lived. The rainfall offers a unique opportunity for rainbows and waterfalls providing spectacular photo opportunities.
All reservations are final even in the unlikely event of forest closure, pandemic, or natural disaster. Appointment rescheduling can be changed up to 48 hours prior to your reservation. If no appointment time is available a refund can be issued in the form of a digital gift certificate.
You can bring snacks on your trip. You will be able to eat on the trail at one of our stops. Reminder: no large coolers.
Yes, it is customary to tip your guide. The usual gratuity is 10 to 20%, but we would never limit you. We can add the gratuity to your charge card or you can tip your guide directly.
